🎳 League Format & Weekly Matchups

• Individual Format: Each bowler competes as an individual (1 bowler = 1 team).
• Scheduled Matchups: Weekly matchups are announced in advance so bowlers know who they’ll face each week.
• Opponent Variety: The schedule is built to minimize repeat opponents — each bowler faces most others only once during the season.

🧮 Weekly Scoring System (Scratch Only)

Points Available: 4 points maximum each week:

• 1 point per game (3 games)
• 1 point for total series (3-game scratch total)

🚫 Absentee & Makeup Policy

• Absent Bowler Rule: If a bowler is absent and does not pre-bowl or submit a makeup score, their score for the week will be their current scratch average minus 10 pins.
• Minimum Rule Enforcement: No absentee score can be lower than 160, regardless of average.
• Makeup/Pre-Bowl Deadline: Scores must be submitted to Jeff before the next league night.
• Payment Delinquency: Any bowler more than 4 weeks behind on payments will be disqualified from the league.

🔁 Replacement & Dropout Policy

• If a bowler needs to drop out mid-season, they may designate a replacement to finish their season.
• The replacement must be approved by Jeff.
• The new bowler will continue in the same standings slot, with no loss of points to the original player.

📅 Key Dates

• Position Round #1: Week 18 – January 5, 2026
• Position Round #2: Week 36 – May 18, 2026
• Season-End Roll-Offs: Immediately after Week 36

Entry Fee: $5 per week — the full $180 must be paid in full by Week 9 (no exceptions).

🏆 Roll-Off Qualification Rules

The Top 5 Bowlers qualify for the season-ending Roll-Offs, based on the following:

1. Position Round #1 Winner
2. Position Round #2 Winner
   (If the same bowler wins both, the next highest point scorer in that round qualifies.)
3. Highest Total Pinfall across all 36 weeks (excludes bowlers already qualified)
4. Top Two Point Scorers over the full season (excludes bowlers already qualified)

Seeding: Based on total points earned during the season. Tie-breaker is total pins for the season.

🎯 Roll-Off Format (Stepladder)

• Game 1: 5th seed vs. 4th seed
• Game 2: Winner vs. 3rd seed
• Game 3: Winner vs. 2nd seed
• Championship Match: Winner vs. 1st seed

Tiebreakers: Frame-by-frame roll-off until a winner is determined.

No-Show Finalist: Any qualified finalist who cannot attend the Roll-Off forfeits their spot and is placed 5th.
